So, I'm kind of scared to go to my hair appointment. I haven't had my hair done in 5 months so I should go get it done, but I have a fear of having a panic attack at the hair salon. I also have a fear that I'll appear strange if I'm trying too hard to manage my anxiety and it will be noticed.

Besides that, I just haven't really cared what my hair looks like. I could leave it for another month and it would probably be ok. I mean I guess I could leave it until the beginning of summer and have some 'summer beauty' time. I don't know.

Also, my iron is low so it's causing a bit of hair loss. Should I try to start treating that before I get my hair done?

My hairdresser is probably going to think I'm crazy, because I've rebooked my appointment in the online system about a million times now.

What do you find scary about the hair appointment? Is this a small salon where you will be alone with your hairdresser, or is it a large salon where your hairdresser rents one station? Have you had panic attacks in the hair salon before or is it a new fear? What you say your iron is low, do you mean hemoglobin or ferritin or both? What are you doing to get it back on track? Improvements usually take time, so I would not wait with the hairdresser's appointment until your hair is lush again.

I am not sure your hairdresser knows that you have rebooked many times. She might just look at what is before her in a given week, and if you are rebooking appointments in more distant future, she might not have visibility into that because she has not set up her notifications to capture those changes. That would be too much noise for her and distract her from her core work.

(((Eglantine Rose))) I hope your hairdresser is a kind person, many of them are, I think they are often tuned into the needs of their clients because hairdressing is in a way a caring profession as well as an artistic one.

My last hairdresser was so lovely when she told me I had a scalp problem, and she advised me what to do to help it. Maybe your hairdresser will be able to advise also?

Hoping all goes well and sending good vibes.
