I still remember what I did 27 years ago come back to high school surprising teachers I had in 1999. It was this month in 1999 and did it wearing my Marines Blues uniform. It started with an English teacher, she walked out of her classroom and saw it was me and we did go back in and talk a little bit. Saw a biology teacher I had was busy and went to see the math teacher I had. I walked in slowly after opening the door and surprised him. He was sitting at his desk and he recognized me which we hugged. Last time he seen me was in 1997 and thanked me for my service. Asked me how it was going and told him good liking it. Then it was off to see a history teacher and she noticed me on the spot coming down. Said OMG and seen it was worth it for me enlisting in the Marines. It was awesome to see her and told her boot camp was like. Then off to see a school counselor, he was in his office done doing something and I said his name. Looked back and seen it was me. Asked me how life of a jarhead has been like for me. Told him good and has been worth it for me. He was one that supported me on my decision of enlisting in the Marines. Was even there at Marines boot camp seeing me graduate from that. Went back to see the biology teacher I had and the door was open with him seeing me come in. Did recognize me and seen I came out good after high school. He was glad to see me and asked me how life of a Marine has been like. Told him great and was a wise choice for me. Then the biggest surprise, the principal came and knew it was me. Went into his office and I was not in trouble. He remembered me as one of the good students that never was sent to his office. Seen I was raised right being respectful. Was also glad I came out good after high school and the Marines did something to me learning respect and discipline more

That sounds like a good memory. I'm glad you had positive interactions with your teachers following your joining the Marines.
I sometimes remember things from ages ago that were really important to me at the time. |

It was and lots of them. I remember one was having a test in history class. One classmate belched in class and I told him that was disgusting and rude. Teacher witnessed it too and wrote him up for disrupting class sent to the principal. Plus he got a zero on the test, cheated off another classmate's test which I witnessed. They did ask me how boot camp was, I had to wake up at 4:00 AM and did. Even told them about one recruit that was a snob that would not get up. Another recruit and I warned her to get up not listening. DI came and woke her up

It sounds like you have an autobiographical memory. I have one too and sometimes it’s ok but other stuff I’d rather forget.

I do and was well known. I remember borrowing a tow truck from the towing yard moving a classmate's car on my last day of school during my senior year. She was a snob and taught her a lesson. Never got caught doing it
