Didn’t really sleep tonight. Monday at 11 pm to Tuesday at 7 am I was at the ER. Ate too much Trader Joe’s black licorice which has real licorice extract which includes the compound glycyrrhizin - and had chest pain and high bp. The ER finally diagnosed me with too much of the active ingredient in the black licorice- which is also in the strawberry flavor! But my heart wasn’t right hurting and beating too fast and my bp was really high. The glycyrrhizin lowered my potassium level to almost the very bottom of the level they use for it. I had a follow up with my primary drs office yesterday and got to schedule with cardiology today. My heart was back to normal at my follow up appointment.

I haven’t slept tonight and I have a long dentist appointment later then choir at church. It’s Holy Week and I at least want to see N3 sing as Jesus - the 5 person choir that he’s in- singing about when Jesus was flogged and crucified. But that’s Friday. It will be on YouTube live and then Friday after the service. PM me if you’d like the link.

I didn’t sleep last night. And I have a long dentist appointment today. And a church service if I can make it. And I had too much coffee.

Just looked at my portal from the ER and put the EKG results into google. Doesn’t look good but I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to see what the cardiologist says.

Inpatient tgerapy done. 21 more hours until home. Then home health starts Saturday.

My new stress is that Emsam patient sssistance has changed and my application was denied. I called and they sent it for a review. Since the stuff costs more than my income with insurance I really hope they approve it. I’ll be anxious until I hear back.

Yesterday the boot was causing a lot of nerve pain. Today that’s much better. All it took was 3 doses of Tylenol and loosening everything on the boot.

I’m going home!
