I moved recently.
My new building is safe. My new space is nice and comfortable. It’s a well maintained property. Where I moved from was sketchy, small and some of my neighbours were a literal threat to my wellbeing. One of my neighbours was particularly menacing. I invited one of my friends over, and her immediate reaction was “oh my god. You made it. good job.” My friend is my happy place. When I was dealing with my sketchy neighbours I would let her know little things but didn’t talk a lot about it. I didn’t want it to occupy my happy place. When my friends helped me move they literally had to run interference to block one particular neighbour. My friend commented that she didn’t know the one very problematic neighbour was right across the hall from me. All I can say, is now that I moved I feel like I got my privacy back. Things feel more in my control and I am just enjoying the freedom of feeling content and unafraid to live as intended |
