Hi, lovelis!
Sometime ago, I tried to launch a group within this forum where people with social anxiety could more deeply interact and support each other. I wasn’t very succesful.

My idea came from a need to find folks so maybe, we may not feel so alone facing our issues.

I made up my mind to create this thread in the subforum for depression because I know many people have to face daily to this problem and it’s my main mental illness.

I would like this to be a more interacting thread than others about the same topic.
More as a group of friends.
Not thread to put out your achivements as a challenge. I think you can do it on other threads or even writing about it on your agenda or a journal.

I hope many of you join. 😀

My first contribution is a question for you all.
How’s your experience in what receiving support for your depression, there, where you are? Are you finding social support? I mean, ( I’m bored because my messages are very long because I try to be clear in what I say since my English still lacks of accuracy, clarity, rightness). My apologises. I will try to study so I could be a better Engling speaker) What I meant is what about help from organizations, medical centres and so.

Thank you for reading.
Have a good day and take care! 💖

I am not in the anxiety group, so I am not fit for your group, even if I can feel anxiety sometimes. I looked up Cluster C traits and my first thought was wandering if you go to therapy? These problems seem to heavy for not getting professional help. I am relatively new here, so I have probably not read your former posts.

I wish you luck with your group. We all need social support!

I have not talked to my therapist in a few months because i faced a financial hardship, but i have a solid support system around me to keep me in check. I have been coming on here or trying to make a habit out of it so that I can keep myself in check as well. Maybe pick up some tips and tricks and find a community like this. I would like to restart the therapy soon vut probably would need a new ome because she didnt listen very well, lol. Thank you
Thanks for this!

I should have explained myself very bad.
It’s is the past when I try to launch a group for people with social anxiety. But nobody joined.
It’s not my intention to run any group anymore.

I wrote this thread with the intention to interact with people who struggle with depression, like myself. To talk about how we feel but also to talk about any other thing we feel like and know each other more.

You may think, there’s already a thread for that called “Daily check in thread: Ups and downs” for doing so.

Ok, you’re right and I don’t have anything against this thread. I myself have participate on it. And anything helpfull to face to this daily battle is very welcome.

However, my point is that I see people there putting into words whatever they feel or achieve each day and I see little interaction.

I’d like to know other people with depression, being that punctual or chronic depression, no matter what, better. More exchange. More personal.

For example; I’m gonna add a little on my part. I called this thread “The warriors” because I have a nephew who is diagnosed within the autism spectrum who has been bullied at school and one day I saw he launched a what’d app group called “Guerreros” The warriors. He included in this group his sister, her cousins, his uncle (my partner) and me.
It’s one of the most beautiful experiences I ever lived.

Hi, I do understand that about having finalcial problems to cover mental health. However I celebrate you have a social group that can help you.

What you say about the terapist if you are not comfortable with her is better to look for somewhere else. Who knows? Maybe the right person is still out there.
My last therapist was the one who touched the correct key.

Isn’t there in your country a Health Public System? Here, in Spain, everybody have the right to Helth assistance.
