It makes total sense that you feel tired of fighting. When life hits you all at once like this, it is completely valid to feel overwhelmed and drained.

I hope you are able to replace your TV soon.

Sending you a lot of comfort and hoping for a break in the storm for you very soon.
Sadly, this seems to happen to me a LOT. Even going to the watch repair place wasted my time, as it had a note "Back in 10 minutes" but I don't know what time that was put on there. I waited 10 minutes and had to leave. Now I have to go back.

The volunteer who is supposed to be here for the computer room at the senior center never showed. And he doesn't have the courtesy to call or email the front desk and say he won't be in.

I ought to get a new TV by the beginning of next week. My MediCaid goes into effect today, after fighting tooth and nail to get back in.

I'm still unusually tired. It's making me depressed. Or maybe vice versa.

I am unusually tired as well. Yesterday I fell asleep for hours after I had been out on a walk. Then I slept well during the whole night and felt that it was difficult to stay awake during breakfast. A cup of coffe helped a little bit, but I had to lay down at the sofa for more rest.

I feel frustrated! (My stomack is not well either)

I will now make a healthy soup and maybe renting a film while eating it. I need something else to think about.

The soup calmed my stomac, but the tiredness is still there.

Worked the stat yesterday, got paid 15 hours for 8 hours work, plus the stat pay so it's like 23 hours in one day. I do that occasionally, and I'll be doing it more in the future so as to save and invest for retirement. I'm still hoping to finish the novel by the end of the year.

@Singer2 whenever I see your member name, which I like, it reminds me both of a singer and the sewing machine brand.

Do you sing? Or sew?

He, he, I have inherited my father's bad talent for singing, but practiced a lot, so I can sing when there is a gathering where we enjoy ourselves by singing.

I chose the name because I liked to sew when I was younger. I have sewn my own cloths and friends have admired them. For now I am doing little of that, but the name, Singer, lingers with me. It makes me feel active, he he, the opposite of being depressed. Somtheing to aspire into ...

I am pensioned, so may be there is not so much to aspire to, but I want to keep the young feeling as long as possible ...

I made some of my own clothes when I was a teenager, but I haven't done that since then. Too much work, lol.

And I could never carry a tune.

Yes, it is a lot of work, but I liked it. Nowadays I feel too tired to start up again and to buy material is not cheap. But I liked the sewing, so maybe I will take the practice up again one day if I can afford it. To be pensioned means that there are less money to live for, but that is OK for the time being. I manage.

Happy 4th of July to our American posters.

There's not much to report in my neck of the woods. I got my truck's oil changed and have continued to work. The novel is going well enough. My mom's okay and my birds are chatty as ever. My hope for the future is now in retirement.

Depression episodes may last a time. A friend of mine used to tell me: See depression as an alarm from your own body or mind. It’s their way to make you stop. There is always a cause, something new such as these healths problems you mention. And need some kind of adaptation on your behalf or acceptance. I’m putting only examples.
You are the one to look for this cause. And I’m awared that first, you have to rest and avoid feeling guilty for feeling like that. You are not guilty of anything.

I'm less depressed than I was. I may have to accept that I'll just get a little better each day. That'll be good enough, if I get feeling normal eventually.

More things going wrong, all at once. Minor medical issues on the stupid holiday, more doctor’s appointments, the tv I wanted is out of stock.

My old one quit with no warning. It’s my only entertainment and “company”. The volunteer who was supposed to be my “support” has tapered off in her calls and texts. Nobody else to call or text or email, even in the miserable waiting room at the doctor’s office. Depressing.

I took the bus to Sam's Club and did a big shopping. Uber got me and my shopping home. Getting out of the house and accomplishing something does wonders for me mentally. Even though it's very hot. I'm much less depressed, since doing that. I bought the ingredients for some easy, nutritious meals. That will help me physically and mentally.

Yesterday I went to the book club at the senior center to get out. I’m not enjoying the book either but I needed the distraction of hearing what people think. It’s hot here too; I hate summer for that reason. I used to love it when I was much younger, as it meant beach parties and staying out longer because of the long days. Now I’m too tired to do much of anything.

I take the bus 🚌 mostly because driving is getting impossible around here. Too much roadwork 🚧 and construction going on, causing detours and gridlock.

I don’t know what I’m going to make for dinner the next week or so. It’s too hot to cook, another reason I hate summer. Maybe get takeout. I don’t want to get frozen dinners because my freezer is too small for that many.

Box-like room a/c on the wall is too expensive to use and only cools that room.

The humidity is going up too and that always zaps my energy and motivation.

I'm a lot better today. Didn't go anywhere, but got stuff done in the house. The depression has eased up a lot. I've actually felt cheerful today.

@nonightowl - I'm trying to work up the courage to start going to one of the senior centers. There is even a service, my city offers, that will pick seniors up and transport them to any one of the centers. I could even get breakfast or lunch at these places. I just have to get braver.
