That says it all. I am too stupid to find a normal job.

I am sorry if I sound so low. I can’t stop crying.

Struggling with suicidal ideation.

Oh my (((Stillhuman))) I’m so sorry about the loss of your job. I’ve lost a few myself when I was younger. It wasn’t easy to get through. It doesn’t mean you’re stupid though. Something my sister is always reminding me of when I can’t easily figure something out. This is just a temporary situation and is certainly not worth your life. We need you around.

Nothing makes sense anymore. The only job that will hire me is a ****ing call centre, and the idea of being stuck with that makes me suicidal.

I just want to go. I have been trying so hard for years and Nothing makes sense anymore. It is only money. But no money. No home. My rent is high. I’m on a waiting list for subsidy that is over a 10 year wait.

Things that honestly comfort me right now is if the world blows up.

I don’t feel ambitious. I just feel like trying doesn’t really bring me anything better or joy. I don’t know where I fit in. I don’t fit in anywhere. I just fail at work.

So sorry to hear it but so many people lose their jobs. I lost mine when I was just starting out and it made such an impression on me. I had such a hard time getting another one and I thought I might get evicted. Long story short... I found a good job that I wouldn't have been available for had I not been laid off.

Suggestions.

1. Unemployment Insurance? Is it an option?
2. Temporary work agencies. Often they are desperate for help and some pay pretty good. They can usually get you to work fast. Without interviewing etc.

I have had this happen as well. Actually being fired from a job propelled me into seeking a career in the health field. I went back to school. I worked as a medical unit secretary (very little knowledge needed) and went to night school part time. It took awhile but I got the job I wanted. Not a job someone was willing to give me. Some jobs offer scholarships after six months of employment, that's how I put myself through nursing school. Don't give up. Are you on Indeed or some of the other sites where you can plug in your information and the kind of job you're interested and they will match you and send you job openings?

I've worked in:
Dog kennels cleaning up poo.
Animal clinics cleaning up poo.
Nursing homes cleaning up poo.
As a central supply clerk.
As a medical secretary.

It's not like I started at the top.

Sorry if I overshared...............................

I am doing better. I think I struggle with major anxiety and depression so it doesn’t help, was already struggling before I was fired.

I have started applying for jobs and different opportunities and am hooked up with a career counsellor. I literally feel like I was fired by an AI algorithm.

Still ok for rent. We’ll see what next month brings.

I am trying to stay in a rational frame of mind.

I have been sort of firing off on all cylinders anxiety wise, which clouds my perception and thinking. I got a general email about a job I applied for, misread it as we don't have any actual jobs available. Read it again, and phew it's not saying there is nothing available, it mentioned "If there are no jobs available" and I blew right past the "if" part.

Anxiety makes me stupid lol.

I am wanting to find something far more fulfilling than what I am doing now. Everything that is a fast hire and fast money is call centre work, and stuff that is very unfulfilling, demanding, with low reward, and I think that has taken a toll on my mental health.

It felt like the PIP process just made you constantly afraid. I never spoke to the person who would send me the information. And most of the time when I was on a PIP, I didn't even know it, because no one really spoke to me about it, or offered any constructive feedback. My team lead's reaction was to not take it seriously, and say no one was trying to fire me, but then provided no support after that. I spoke to no one about my PIP for 2 months, until they got ready to fire me basically.

I am trying to think of creative ways to even be self employed, but I have no equity, or extra money to come up with anything right now.

I tried being a medical secretary but my essential tremor was largely untreated and clients reacted negatively to it, so it affected my confidence in sticking to it. I’ve considered going back but I feel like I’ll be dependent on a lot of meds. Started propranolol recently to help

Anxiety makes me stupid too. Seriously. Whenever anything goes wrong some people are calm and composed and i get dumb. Once I side swiped a car and thought the best thing to do was to go home and get some paper to write a note. Thank god the car was there when I got back. But about 3 people had left notes with my plate and telling the owner I hit him and left. What a dumb thing for me to do. It all made sense in my head at the time.

Suggestion. When I was at my worst and you do have to judge if it is right. When I was on an interview and I could see they wanted to hire me but were hesitant... I volunteered to work for 6 weeks for free asking only a positive reference... but I was guessing once I was in the position they would be too lazy to fire me. I was right. Usually this works best with small places.

I'm sorry you have to deal with tremors. It's such an uncomfortable feeling. I hope the Propranolol helps you.
