I feel sick af right now and so I turned on the news. Not sure what to think. TBH I’m thinking more of the big arch burger right now.

Do we have to worry? I mean I know we do need to worry, but is this the end?

My pdoc told me the world would end 4 years ago and I was just lying on the floor of the bathroom scared out of my mind. My mom said my pdoc was being an ***

I mean at some point yeah. Do you mean today or in a month or in a year, a decade, a century, millennium…?

All I know is I need to remember to take my peppermint oil with my meals and the new sliding door dumpster was not a smart move for such a cold, snowy winter.

It's not right that your P-Doc told you that, joking or not...

I just turned 66 years on the 23rd of this month.

All my life I've heard the we are living in the end times, and that it wouldn't be long before the world would end...

I used to be petrified by those predictions, but the older I got, especially by the time I reached 45-50, I came to realize that all of that basically boiled down to nothing more than predatory fear mongering.

I'm not saying it's never gonna happen, but at this point, if I were playing the odds in Vegas, I'd bet against it...

Probably. If the US doesn't help Israel become greater Israel, which is a biblical prophecy, then another prophecy will probably come true. Armageddon.
The way I see it, the US took a hard turn in the 60s when it decided to assassinate US President John F. Kennedy. JFK offered the US the opportunity to live and let live. Right wing forces in the US didn't want to exercise that option.
It goes back to Truman, his anti communist doctrine, the Dulles brothers and the cold war, the loss of US economic power in conjunction with the increase in its military power. Bad decisions following the end of WW2, the creation of Israel,
allowing Israel to acquire nuclear weapons, Allowing Israel to dominate US Congress. US hubris based on military power (Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan). NATO moving to the border of Russia and withdrawing from nuclear treaties.
If you research the power of thermonuclear devices, you would be amazed at their destructive potential. Can you imagine the destructive potential of 50 million tons of TNT? No, you can't. That's a rhetorical question. But the DPRK has
25 Kiloton warheads that can MIRV and reach the United States. (Multiple Independent Re-Entry Vehicles.). We are currently seeking to starve the DPRK, and they don't like it. Russia has tested a 50 Megaton thermonuclear device.
They have submarines that can launch ballistic nuclear warheads that can reach the US in minutes. Russia has over 5,500 nuclear warheads and currently 1,700 are strategically based to be delivered by land, sea, and air. The US is currently providing arms to Ukraine which has resulted in 10s of thousands of deaths of Russian soldiers. Back to your question...should you worry about it? Won't do you any good. Enjoy that big arch burger.

I think the end of the world stuff must be as old as the world itself just about but with the mass media we have now it spreads quicker than ever.

What’s happening right now isn’t good but it’s likely not the end of the world I agree.

MD, reality is that everything will come to an end. Entropy is real. Humans are dying from the day they are born. It is all a matter of time.

Are you frightened by the US and Isreal bombing Iran? I believe that news scares many of us. Heck the news upsets me on a daily basis. Is it worth worrying about? I, personally, find worrying non-productive, but still do at times.

Yeah I’m scared about that. And also all these anti trans laws they are passing.

Plus my doctor lowered me Valium which I don’t think is helping much with things.

I stopped watching the news last year. That's all I used to do. 3-4 hours a day. During the Cold War US and USSR had enough nukes to destroy the world 1000 times over. I definitely don't think our leaders care what happens to any of us so we're all on our own...

The end of the world's going to come when oil runs out. You think you've seen fighting... you ain't seen nothing.
We're ignorant to the fact that oil will last forever.
I just heard today that the price of oil has risen since the attack on Iran.
