I moved into a nice townhouse at the beach in MD in November. It has the softest beds I've ever seen. I have to find a new place in a month. This town is probably insane in the summer because there are over 500 motels and lots of bars. Before I lived in a historic town on the DE Canal in a nice old house. I can't afford much on my income from SSDI and will never go to an apartment.

I called my neighborhood white trash one time and my mom got mad at me. But it’s basically that. House is decent. I have hardwood floors and a small walk in closet with 2 clothing racks and 3 shelfs..

I live in a 3 bedroom mobile home on 10 acres in central Florida. Used to be in the boonies goonies, but not so much any more due to uncontrolled development . I could hear eyes rolling that it's a mobile home. I had it custum built for me and I love it.

I have a three floor townhouse. No garage. I am heading to north Carolina in the summer to try to start searching for a great home. Honestly I chose the career I did to get the perfect home and so far, I haven't been able to get it. I have had to make a sacrifice in every home.
Thanks for this!

I went to school at UNC-Greensboro. North Carolina has nice people who have manners and they love their pork sandwiches. The boy/girl ratio at UNCG was very high, lots of girls. NC is still kind of stuck in the 60s, racism was present.

We will see. I am looking at Raleigh. I wanted to go down to see if it would turn out to be someplace I can't stand. Manners sounds good to me.

Their "manners" are so backwards though. 'thoughts and prayers' type deal. I was discussing it with a few people a while ago (I spent months at a time growing up in the south and live in the northeast now) and it's basically:

New England: Calls you a dumbass who can't drive while helping you get your car out the ditch and telling you what you did wrong to end up in the ditch
The South: Simply drives away saying "I pray you can get out."

HA! Yes but New Englanders can be super mean unless you have a car in a ditch.

We will see. I lived in Michigan for a while and they were nice but in a way I didn't like. For instance inviting me (a stranger) to their home for thanksgiving which I thought was weird. But they were no doubt nicer than New England.

Are we really that mean? Aggressive maybe, spirited, definitely, honest? For sure, but straight up mean?
