Like Baby Jessica or the OJ chase. Stuff that would be broadcasted live and people would be glued to their TV. The day that Dominoes sold the most pizzas in one day was the OJ chase because people didn’t want to leave their TVs.
I don’t think stuff like that generally happens anymore.

Just a hunch but maybe because people use social media and other media for their news instead of the traditional television?

Most people don’t all watch tv all at the same time. Most people stream news, shows and movies and watch and read news in different formats at different times. At OJ times there was no streaming or internet or much of social media. Most people don’t get news from traditional tv
Also most people don’t even have traditional tv anymore. |

I must be weird then because we still have cable. No one watches it though. Just the basic NBC and ABC and some news channels. We have all the streaming services so I don’t get why we still have cable. I think it has something to do with our fax machine we still need.

I knew OJ wouldn't make it to the Canadian border. I think he placed the glove on the murder site. And you can't argue with blood in his Bronco.

It’s weird because when I was working social security needed my pay stubs and social security needed them faxed over but the rotor that worked the fax machine also worked our TV.
Idk. That’s what I was told

I think the stories still happen, we just all watch them alone on our phones and then argue about them in separate groups instead of everyone being frozen in front of the same TV at the same time.
