Anyone else just completely come apart when they get sick? Today I got a cold, with that fevery weak feeling, and I feel like I have just collapsed. I also had a therapy session this morning, which is my last day off before my workweek starts. Sickness creeps up on me, I feel crummy until suddenly I feel like I cannot move. And then the over the top emotions of wanting to be cared for, longing for that kind of support, it's just so dramatic. i just was overcome with this feeling of longing for some kind of maternal attention . Anyone else get this when they get sick?

I hope you feel better
I have a lot of stuff going on that I try not to worry about until the appointment happens. I figure there’s no use in worrying. My mom says there’s nothing I can do but I can think of a few things that might help. Mainly just cutting back on soda I think would help basically all of my issues. Which are heart, and kidney right now. |

Thanks Mountaindewed. It sucks when loved ones (maybe esp mothers) seem to be dismissive towards attempts to get help. But at least you can identify what changes you need to make. I don't share my struggles with family because it makes them really uncomfortable. I am not a parent because I am afraid I would also be dismissive of my kids' problems, or try to pretend their problems aren't really happening. This would be wrong obviously, but I cannot say for sure I would not fall victim to the same weakness of my parents.
