Saw an interesting you tube last night wondering if we all died in 1999 and we just don't know it. As evidence the author talks about how each decade had a distinct fashion look to it. You can see it all during the 1900s every 10 years but that all stopped in 2000. Nothing really has changed since that time in how we look or dress.
I thought it would be fun to suggest anything you guys noticed? I was thinking about the lack of progress. In general... in life. But like what I noticed was like in the 80s and 90s retail seemed to be changing all the time. One company would rise while another would fall. There were new malls being built... new companies to try. But that seems to have stopped. I know retail has gone down hill but what is there ... never changes. Like every mall has the same 10 stores and they NEVER go out of business. No matter how empty they are? I mean like how does Planet Fitness make any money at all? How does Dollar Tree? I mean who shops at Lids? Is there really that demand for caps? But they never seem to go out of business. Now this all could be a CIA plot but... what do you think? |
