It’s been this high before and I normally just wait it out for 15 minutes. I am seeing a cardiologist who is thinking of sending me to a specialty cardiologist who specializes in heart rhythm problems. But I’m decreasing my Geodon and I also am losing weight with a GLP-1. So I think things will work itself out.

But Is it ok to just wait around for this number to go down? I don’t have chest pains or shortness of breath or dizziness. I was just told by my doctor to take my BP several times a day.

I was told in the hospital I was just at that the nurses will nag on you for high blood pressure (drink more water, eat less salt) if it's above 130/80 but won't really worry too much (maybe ask a doc to prescribe a beta blocker) until it's 200/120.

I’ve tried beta blockers and calcium channel blockers. I looked up this specialist and there’s no way a tube is going to be inserted through my veins into my heart. Or get a pacemaker which my cardiologist already threatened.

I’ll try the Geodon first.

You need to take your meds as prescribed. If you have such high pressure at young age, your meds aren’t working or you aren’t taking them correctly

I’ve been taking them correctly. My blood pressure has been scary all day so I got a referral to that cardiologist
