I am due to get the shot in a couple of weeks. I have taken some time off so that if there is a bad reaction I can recover.
I had almost no reaction to the covid vaccine but the tetanus vaccine gives me a fever and flu symptoms almost immediately. Anyone get it? Have a bad reaction? |

I got it, a couple of years ago maybe? I dont remember anything significant. Any vaccine takes me down a little for a day or two. But my dad and a coworker had shingles - i NEVER want to get it! It lasts over a month and you are miserable!

Yes a former boss got it and it was horrid. FYI he soon (within 5 years) got dementia and I read someplace that the shingles vaccines reduces the risk of dementia.

Yes I had a reaction. Lots of joint pain, fever etc. no matter the reaction, it’s always better than actual shingles. I have some horror stories to tell

No reaction, @NatalieJastrow, except that I felt noticeable more pain at the injection site compared to the COVID vaccine. But the pain lasted only a couple of hours.
This was a two-course vaccine; the second shot is repeated after about six months. I felt run down after the COVID injections. But then again, I feel run down every few days anyway.
