In Maryland the only conditions that qualify for medical marijuana are PTSD and physical conditions. Can marijuana cause BP or schizophrenic episodes? I can qualify if I have psych condition that hasn't responded to anything. I'm BP and told I'm schizophrenic but I've never had problems when I smoked before.
I don't even want to know what schizophrenia is but I think it's a thought disorder and it is crippling.

My sister got on medical marijuana for back pain. She now lives for pot and is essentially an addict. I think her personality changed as well. I wouldn't recommend it.

Not sure but someone told me that legal marijuana is far more potent than it was when it was sold on the street.

THC (the substance in marijuana that causes the high) can cause psychosis in certain individuals at any amount or in a large enough amount for many if not all people. Chronic use can worsen anxiety and depression. From experience I can tell you certain strains are prone to causing panic attacks and dissociation.

It's helped me with insomnia though and sometimes appetite issues. My BMI at a point was about 16 and I would probably still be there or lower if I didn't smoke, eat, and sleep a couple times a week for a little. My biggest issue is PTSD, but I have pretty severe manic/psychotic episodes at times. High doses of edibles and sativas will make me really anxious and my heart rate will skyrocket, but I like a hybrid or an indica that can calm my racing mind or sedate me enough to sleep. I don't have a medical card and it's not legal recreationally but in every border state/province it is and it's not like it's a long drive to ANY of our borders.

Here it can be prescribed medically for opioid addiction, interestingly enough. I guess it's harm reduction.

It's not so much that legal marijuana is more potent than street marijuana, it's today's marijuana is more potent than 70s marijuana. Much like today's blueberries are sweeter than before selective breeding took place. I can assure you NH weed is still illegal but it will kill you way before MA's legal weed will (mostly because it's laced with fentanyl, xylazine, formaldehyde, etc.)

I don't think I had a problem when I smoked around 2013 and 2018 for a while. I wasn't psychotic and didn't cause me any anxiety. I was buying it online from a place in CA which is now gone and I went to NYC to buy it when you could find it on Craigslist.
They might disqualify me because I'm BP.
Last year I was buying from chronicguru which is legal because it has no THC but has THCa (non psychoactive and precursor to THC) but it doesn't cause a "high", only an altered state which was kind of strange.
I felt very relaxed when I came down from cannabis and I loved listening to music while high. I miss that.

I had a friend with her card for chronic pain who ended up having a manic episode and got hospitalized. Idk if she got diagnosed bipolar, but she didn’t get her script taken away because of it but she does have to be more careful now—no dabs/flower only now, be choosey with strains, etc.

I got approved! In less than 5 minutes. Dr didn't ask me anything! There are about 8 dispensaries within couple miles from here.
