Tried medical marijuana for the first time. Grandaddy Purple. Read that it's relaxing. For 20 minutes felt very scared and could see myself going into a home. Then the rest of the night felt motivated.
Don't know if I'm going to do that again. I smoked a dozen years ago and had no problems.

A dozen years ago weed was a quarter as potent (or something like that but wayyy weaker). GDP is still crazy high in THC for an indica for someone without tolerance.

I had a doctor suggest I try the gummies to help with my chronic pain...

The nightmares I experienced were so horrid, I had to discontinue use.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience too.

Thanks for this!

Grandaddy Purple is only like 23 percent THC. I also bought some Acapulco Gold and Sour Diesel which are higher THC levels and are Sativa.
I felt really scared. I felt very old and visioned myself going into a group home and dying alone which just might happen to me.
I've never really had paranoia from cannabis before. I'm glad it only lasted 20 minutes.

23% THC is still very high for someone who has no tolerance and whose last experience was a dozen years ago not off the stuff we have now at dispensaries (high quality) from selective breeding (years of getting stronger and stronger). How much did you smoke? Even when I am smoking somewhat regularly I'll never do more than two hits.

I'm precariously balanced. The first time I smoked cannabis aggressively with the intent to achieve intoxication, I had suffered a powerful temporal lobe seizure that still registers on my EEG 55 years later. Until that time, I thought I was a semi normal kid. Thereafter I was mentally ill.
After several years, I chose to "revisit" the scene of the crime so to speak. I smoked some black opiated hash, some blonde lebanese hash, and some Hawaiian weed. Each time just a few tokes took me to the brink of psychosis. I would seek solitude and hold on for dear life until my symptoms subsided. There is something wrong with me. Being born premature raises one's chances of epileptic seizure. Not sure what other neuro-psychiatric issues come into play.

I was disappointed in trying it. First, I really didn't notice anything happening with it.. at all. And though they said it would help me sleep.. it didn't. I felt wired. I didn't know if this was related to it but I kept hearing my front door slam but when I got up... no one was there.

I tried edibles and I tried vaping. Really felt nothing.

Also one reason I started it was my brother lost 40 lbs on it. Later I found it it helps with insulin sensitivity but I am already insulin sensitive so it didn't make me lose any weight.

I also found almost every write up on the different kinds of strains to either be wrong or didn't work that way on me.

Finally gave it up as I just couldn't justify the price for almost no results.
