I tried Noom for two weeks, and I just canceled my trial before they started billing me because I have done everything they said, and yet my weight fluctuated by a few lbs before ending back up where I initially was. It’s very frustrating— I’ve tried Noom, I’ve tried personal training, I’ve tried diets and exercise and all sorts of things and nothing is working. I tried not caring— after all, we’ll all die from something, right? However, I couldn’t not care— after all, this is my health we’re talking about! I don’t want to become a full-fledged diabetic; I don’t want to have to get eye injections or amputations in the future. I want to be able to enjoy my life and do all the things I enjoy— like hiking, skiing, and kickboxing. I considered liposuction, but everything I read scared the living **** out of me. Same with bariatric surgery. What am I going to do? My body is not doing what I tell it to and it is angering me greatly. Also, I really need to add that plus-size clothes are utterly hideous. This may sound vain, but I want to be able to wear flattering clothes— not ****ing muumuus and shirts that look like sacks.

What do you think the problem is? I just started ozempic again almost 3 weeks ago. The first time i tried it, i was not prepared at all. This time i am.

So much of eating is habit - for me, anyway. I pour myself a bowl of cereal - in these 2 weeks, ive already decreased my serving size to maybe a quarter or eighth of what i used to eat. I dont WANT to eat past fullness signals now, and they come pretty quickly.

Apps like weight watchers emphasize serving sizes, but i could never relate to that. Im not going to stop before im full! Feeling hungry makes me crazy! I also take topamax for other reasons, but it helps you to feel full.

I am "researching" to find out more about this crazy hunger. Is it just addiction?

I don’t know what it is— and frankly, I don’t have much of an appetite these days to begin with. On the Noom app, they make you log your meals and count your calories; 10 out of maybe 12 days, I’ve been under-budget (in other words, a deficit). So my problem sounds different from what you’re describing.

Some people count macros rather than calories.

Noom did that too, in a way… proteins, carbs, and fats, but also foods that were nutrient-dense versus foods that weren’t.

Thanks for this!
