My new pdoc is trying to switch me from Geodon to Vraylor. I’m having issues like everyone else with insurance. So she is trying to get them to cover it.

Has anyone tried Vraylor? Are the side effects bad. Like weight gain and stuff.

I take Vraylar and so does my sister. It's pretty weight neutral. I've had no side effects.

I took vraylar for awhile. It was okay but not as effective as my current meds. Didn’t have any side effects on it.

I was on Vraylar for a bit but I switched because it was giving me some restlessness. It also wasn't doing what I needed it to do for my mood, but I also couldn't get the dose very high because of the restlessness so it's possible it would have worked for me at a higher dose.

My insurance says I need to pay full price for 3 months and then it will go down to $80. I still can’t pay $1000 for 3 months. But my pdoc is going to try to get me a 3 month sample so I can at least see if it works and if it does then she thinks insurance would cover it then. But she definitely says I need to be off Geodon and on a lowered dose of m Prestiq

Took it twice for two weeks. Felt horrible. Made me restless and cost $70/pill.

I quickly started to experience an elevated mood on it and had to switch back to Zyprexa.

I took Vraylar but I couldn't stay on it (it had very similar side effects for me as Geodon-akathisia, nausea, insomnia, but I liked the longer half life made it feel better as a mood stabilizer).
