Hey! I used to be pretty regular counting down the day until I saw my T.

So, how long before you see you T?

One week? A few days?

For me, I have been stuck in a once-a-month routine since my insurance started charging outrageous prices.

Hopefully, next year with the new insurance, I will get free Teleheath visits, so I will be able to see a T more!!

So, when is your next appointment?

Just saw her yesterday so 13 days. It’s every 2-3 weeks depending on the schedule. She’s very popular.

I am seeing my T today, for the last time. I am really sad about it. I worked really hard to find him because he is an actual doctor, a psychologist not a print-out-certificate type therapist. He was wonderful.

Stupid insurance dropped me, so I had to change insurances and his service doesn't accept it. Boo.

It should be a bittersweet session tonight - I will really miss him.

That sucks @LadyShadow

I see my T on Friday (virtually), so 3 more days.

That sucks royally. I’m losing my T this year too for the same reason, insurance! I have two more appointments with her. One next week, the final time the week after that.

Let’s see, 6 days until then.

Why are you guys losing your insurance? I’m on Medicare and I’m waiting to be recertified. Then I think I’m good for 3 more years.

I see my therapist at 10 tomorrow. It was going to be on Friday. Then this morning but she told me I needed to rest today. She gets my health issues. But I don’t think she has much of a work life balance if she was free today and tomorrow

@Mountaindewed, I forgot why @Nammu was losing hers, but for me I was dropped from my Medicare Advantage plan for 2026 - they said they just didn't offer it anymore for people in my state. It sucked so bad and made me look for new insurance.

I am currently shopping for a T now, will probably have to wait to book an appointment till after the new year because my insurance isn't active until after January 1st.

Same reason, my plan was dropped. Used to be several plans to choose from. Now there’s only two. Both horrible. There’s more plans available in large urban cities than small towns. "

Oops, I realized I made a mistake. I actually see my T again tomorrow, so it's just one day. Glad the scheduling portal sent me a reminder because I definitely don't want to have to pay the no-show fees!

Still waiting till January 1st to start looking for a new therapist when my new insurance kicks in. I am completely overwhelmed and discouraged - definitely NOT picking a woman therapist, because they tend to judge and have stupid opinions I always hate. I have a feeling I am going to go through a ton of therapists before I find a good one. Miss my old T so bad!!!! SO upset!!!!

I met with my new therapist on Wednesday - next appointment is in almost two weeks - so 10 more days. He is really good! Have to go over some of the meditation exercises he gave me.

I see my T again on Wednesday, so I have 4 more days to go. The last session was really good with EMDR, and I hope my next session will go as well.

Had to cancel my therapy appointment. My insurance required a referral that I didn't know about so if I don't fix it soon, they are going to charge me $300 for it.

Really hope that doesn't happen to you @Nammu - I was completely blindsided. It's really messed up.

Still waiting to decide who I am going to search for next that take referrals. Back to the drawing board again.
