This is a tricky one, and time is getting short.
I see a therapist at the US Veterans Hospital. I completely trust her, which is weird. I have had nothing but awful experiences, but my current therapist is great. The problem is that they do this terrible 12-session, you're done-for-a-while thing that leaves me abandoned. We always start to get somewhere, and it is time to stop. It is worse this time because some new things have popped up. I have made some great improvements with ketamine infusions, but I really need a guide. The ketamine clinic only does the infusions. But the real problem is twofold, and they are related. The first is that my sister, for unknown reasons, decided to tell me that I was taken by three different men when I was two, and they did who knows what to me. I guess it was the first time that happened to me, but certainly wasn't the last. It seems to be the reason I am here. It is certainly not to have a loving relationship. Those aren't the problem; I can tell her that with no repercussions. I have mentioned other, related incidents that have happened to me. I am not sure three more would move the needle, especially since I can't remember them. Last summer, at the same hospital as my therapist, I was having a scary medical test done. Fortunately, it was negative. The problem is that I was immobilized a bit, and I was so anxious. She had to grab my legs and arms to move them around. Each time she did, she would rub my hands and feet on her breasts. Way more often and harder than what would be considered inadvertent. Worse, she took her hands and grabbed me between my legs, twice. I really didn't know what to do. The VA has not been kind to me, bordering on cruel. It has been difficult getting tests ordered; I have had other painful problems that are taking over a year to get addressed. It has never been like that before. The pushback I have been getting feels personal. I could have pushed her away or yelled at her. Or even reported her. No way doesn't come back on me with charges. All she has to do is say I did something, and they would take her word over mine. The VA gives lip service about servicing vets, but that is all it is. So, I did nothing. I completely ignored it. It has been bothering me, and I would like to talk to her about it, just to tell her. She would believe me. Since they are both employees there, I am unsure if she would have to report it, though. I could ask about her reporting obligations, but that is going to set off alarm bells, and she won't leave it alone after that. Is it even worth mentioning since it is really nothing new? Another reason I want to mention it is that she wants me to start dating, but I do not. This is more evidence that I am trash. If I can get her to move off of dating and on to more productive topics, it would be nice. If I am going to bring it up, I need to do it in the next session, so we have time to work through it before the 12th session, and I am done until next summer, or so, else there is no reason to ever bring it up because there will be new traumas to bring up between now and then. Maybe I shouldn't, we are already dealing with so much. It is probably not that important. Is it?

@qwerty68 I'm so sorry you've had to endure this kind of abuse. I had something happen to me when I was young, and I didn't tell my family until I was an adult. When I told each family member (at different times) all I got was dismissive looks. I wish I could tell you what to do. What happened to you is important and you are important, but people seem to be so self-absorbed these days. You might not get the response you want. I'm also sorry for just responding to your post. I'm only just now seeing it.
