I’m certainly in peri menopause, still got cycles but they’re more irregular, by my estimation I’ve possibly got another couple of years to go by my mother and sister’s experience.

Last few weeks I’ve been so nauseous with poor appetite. For me this is unusual as I’m normally a good eater, but I’m picking these days and my sweet tooth is completely gone. I have chocolate in the house and I don’t want it.

This sounds a bit mad but it feels very like early pregnancy did, just ‘off’, so maybe my hormones are doing a loop the loop in the same way but different if you know what I mean.

Anyone else experienced this?

Just to make sure, you are not on any new medication, are you? Nausea is such a common medication side effect, I just had to ask this question.

Thanks TartCherry, no new medication no, although I have got a low grade UTI these last few days (the nausea has been going on longer though).

I never had that. How about checking to see if you might be pregnant? Babies have been known to "squeeze" themselves in!

So since this last post I got confirmation I’ve had a UTI, since then I’ve had a course of antibiotics. It’s possible it’s connected with that but I still have a poorer appetite, although maybe the nausea is a little improved.

I have it now, unexplained nausea, mild and not bad enough to take Zofran for. Not on any new meds, or a higher dosage of an old med. Biochemcially postmenopausal, as I learned last month, and probably have been that for several years but didn't notice the transition because of Mirena. No clue why this nausea persists. So weird.

Sorry to hear that mine cleared up and I think it was the uti, actually I think that uti may have been brewing longer than I thought. I’ve been okay since (although I do get nausea with migraines).

So apparently my nausea is due to a viral infection and post-viral sequelae. I was at urgent care today and received Zofran via IV, together with a pain medication. It is too late to check for COVID, but it is likely that what I had some time ago was a light case of COVID, which led to exacerbations of my Long Covid symptoms, which include lightheadedness, nausea, and sleeping way too much. It is 7:13 PM now and I plan to go to bed at 8 PM, as I did last night. I get tired from doing such simple things that are not supposed to tire anyone out. Nausea is just part of this weird presentation.
