I have worked where I am for 22 years. I am so sick of management failing to get me coverage. I have "use or lose" time. Over a month ago I asked for coverage. Before I go out I need to tell people what is going on.

Management didn't get me coverage.

So I told my boss yesterday just before leaving and he put all the onus on me to get someone. I had to scramble at the end of the day to get a friend to do it.

He knows DARN WELL, it isn't my responsibility.

There are even things now that are impossible because management didn't get me anyone. Zoom for instance. You need to send an alternative host. You know they will text me while I am out OR they will reschedule the meeting until I am back.

This is how they get you NOT to take the leave time you have earned. They refuse to provide for proper coverage. There is a workplace conduct person that I may be able to go to. I think I am going to.
